All that glitters…circa 1925

This was a gem of a night for members of the Jewish Historical Society of Michigan. We began the evening with third generation owner, Michael Simmons, who shared the historical and architectural highlights of his family business, Simmons & Clark Jewelers. Then we walked just a few steps around the block to experience a behind the scenes tour of Element Detroit at the Metropolitan, once home to Detroit jewelry manufacturers. The evening ended at the Monarch Club where world class cocktails and hors d’oeuvres were enjoyed on the rooftop lounge. Panoramic views of the city were dazzling!
