Don’t Yell Fire

Guests walked through the original, historic red doors of former Fire Department headquarters and experienced the renaissance with a behind the scenes tour of the Detroit Foundation Hotel.

Barbara Madgy Cohn, author of The Detroit Public Library: An American Classic discussed her book and her curation of the hotel’s book collection located in the uniquely designed Lincoln Lounge.

Following the tour, Michelin chef Thomas Lents served up a modern American cuisine lunch in the Apparatus Room private dining space.

Nobody yelled fire…but this is definitely a “hot” spot to obtain a taste of Detroit history!
