For a community dependent on public transportation, Detroit was hit especially hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Detour Detroit has partnered with RiDetroit in an effort to provide bikes to essential workers and residents in the city of Detroit. Detour Detroit collects unwanted adult/children’s bikes and RiDetroit provides free tune ups and delivery.
